Cellblock Slideshows from Cellphone Photos “Live”

Cellblock.com has a novel approach to photo sharing on the Internet. The new online service allows you to instantly publish photos from your camera phone to any website that you control.

The idea is simple enough: enroll with them for a Cellblock photo album, your album gets its own email address, then anyone can email their photos to that email address from their cellphone or computer. The emailed photos are supposed to appear instantly and they are shown as a slideshow that constantly updates as new pictures come in.

One riotous and happy application for this could be a wedding party, where everyone can view the photos on a giant projector screen. As guests arrive, their pictures are splashed across the big screen; even those who can’t attend can contribute their images.

You may also embed the Cellblock in your own website and that would be quite useful. I think I’ll try this service for size. Watch this space for a review.
