CES 2007: Kodak Unveils Colorful Digicams

Kodak Easyshare V803 Digital Camera

I like Kodak. Back in the old days, they were king of the hill, preserving for us our own “Kodak moments.

Now that they are being flooded by modern competition in this digital era, Kodak is valiantly putting up a good fight and occasionally putting out products that deserve our attention.

Two Kodak offerings at CES 2007 – the Easyshare V803 and V1003 – may not be revolutionary and earth-shaking, but boy, look at them colors. Who says we should be restricted to just silvery metal and black? Kodak is spearheading a move towards cameras that are as colorful as the pictures they take.

And they’re not that bad, really. The $250 V1003 and $200 V803 digital cameras feature 10-megapixel and 8-megapixel resolutions, respectively, with large 2.5-inch LCD screens and 22 scene modes. Best of all, they come in 8 bright colors with matching accessories, aimed squarely at the person who usually preserves the family’s “Kodak moments – Mom.
